Look alike? Maybe!

Don't you love it when someone tells you that you look like someone famous?  I know I do, although I really don't see the resemblance.  I have had many people tell me that I look like Reese Witherspoon.  Just this week I was at the Dr's office for a check up and a sweet lady told me I looked just like Reese.  It's very flattering because Reese is so pretty, but I don't see that I look like her.  What do you think?

My Celebrity Crush...

Ok, so I was just listening to some new music by Jason Aldean and I have to say that he is my absolute celebrity crush ;)!  He is so incredibly good looking (but not as good looking as my own hunky husband ;) although he does come in a close second... just don't tell Justin) and extremely talented.  His new song with Kelly Clarkson "Don't You Want to Stay" just melts me.  I hope my husband will take me to see him in concert some day soon... I'll try not to storm the stage!  For those of you who have no idea who I'm talking about... and shame on you if you don't ;)... here are a few pics.

Isn't he delicious!

You can check out his website here Jason Aldean and listen to his duet with Kelly Clarkson via the jukebox.  I am so going to buy his new CD My Kind of Party today!

Happy Thursday y'all!

Congratulations!

n all the excitement with the deer I forgot to mention this very IMPORTANT tidbit!  This sweet girl (yes, I know Halloween is over, but it's the only picture I had with me) is going to be a BIG sister!  Yes, Billy, Amy and Zoe are adding to the family.  Baby Clark is due to be here August 2 and we couldn't be any more happier!  Congratulations you guys!

Zoe the precious Big Sister to be!

And the moment we have all been waiting for...

Here are the pictures I know you have all been waiting for!  This lovely buck will be gracing our walls in a couple of months.  I AM ONE PROUD WIFE!  ;)

Big Buck Down!

I am too excited not to blog about this right now.  First of all I am not your typical wife.  I absolutely love having deer mounts on my wall.  It's just something rugged about it that I really enjoy.  Having said all that... my husband killed THE big one this morning. When I say big one I mean an 11 point that he has been watching for three years... well not really watching but it has been on his game camera for that long.  We were so afraid that he would either be killed by someone else or hit by a car.  I am BEYOND excited for him.  Justin took off this week just to hunt in hopes of getting the BIG one!  He even braved the frigid temperatures this morning, so when he called me and said "Big Buck Down" I just wanted to bust out in to tears.  I know he has really put in a lot of hours waiting for this moment and I am so proud of him!  Look for pics to come!!

My Not So Good, Rotten Wal Mart Photo Experience!!!

Ok, so I know I got 50 free Christmas Cards with Shutterfly, but I really needed at least 100 cards to send and the ones I picked out were a little more than what I was expecting to spend.  To save a little $ I decided I'd just go to Wal-Mart and print some off since they were only $.75 for 5X7 cards.

I decided I'd go on over to the Holly Springs Wal Mart during my lunch.  This was mistake Numero Uno!  The machine I chose to use was awful.  You had to touch the screen with much force to get it to work.  I even had a man to tell me that to be a little petite thing I sure was shaking the machine! lol!!  I was punching it pretty hard, but it was working my nerves having to touch it so many times to recognize my touch.  So, anyway I FINALLY got my picture order sent and took my ticket.  It said wait 30 min. for the pics to print. I walked around and did a bunch of nothing and in 30 min. I went to retrieve my pictures only to find out the stupid machine didn't print out all of my ticket and the part I needed to scan to get my pictures was missing. UGH!!!!  I finally found someone working in that department to come help me.  He got my pictures out and they looked fabulous (or so I thought, I'll get to that part in a minute).  I was ready to check out when the little guy informed me that they didn't have envelopes to match.  OMG!!!!  I told the guy had I known that I would have printed the 4x8's instead.  He told me he could give me a discount and I could take the pictures as is or I could come back later and talk to the manager.  SO come back I did!  I was fuming at this point.  I mean really, this is so ridiculous! I was so mad.  Why didn't they just put up a little sign saying "NO 5x7 Envelopes".

I decided I'd call the Wal Mart in New Albany and inquire about 5x7 envelopes, and sure enough they had some.  They told me to just bring my pictures in and they'd give me envelopes.  I calmed down after this.  I went back to get my pictures and the little guy had the nerve to tell me that they called around and they don't furnish Wal Mart stores with 5x7 envelopes.  I didn't tell him that I had already called around and knew for a fact that he was lying.  He did give me a discount so I ended up only having to pay around $15 for 50 5x7 pictures instead of $37.50.

So, my mom went to Wal Mart in NA after her weight watchers meeting (she lost another 3 1/2 pounds by the way) and she told me they had several boxes of 5x7 envelopes that they had been ordering for months getting ready for the Christmas season.

I was so excited to get my pictures stuffed, so I brought them to work with me.  I was looking over my card only to notice they have a TYPO!!!  The stupid machine was so hard to handle that it didn't pick up the "a" in Holiday.  I am so embarrassed, but after all the trouble I went through to get these, I'm handing them out anyway.  So everyone can just have a Happy Holidy!  lol! I guess next time I'll read over my cards carefully before submitting my order and I DEFINITELY will NOT be using the Wal Mart in Holly Springs ever again for my picture needs.  I should have know better because I had a similar incident last year when using them.

Anyway, just wanted to rant and rave a little more about my not so good, rotten Wal Mart Photo Experience!

Merry Christmas!

I ordered my Christmas cards from Shutterfly today and can't wait to get them to see how they turned out!  I finally chose this card...

We had family pictures taken this weekend at Portrait Innovations and they turned out soooo good!  Here are a few that we picked out.

Justin, Tucker and I

I can't believe he was this still...

I absolutely love the smile on his face!

Isn't he just so handsome ;)!!

We even got MOST of our shopping done this weekend!  I only have a few more gifts to get and I'll be all done.  I don't think I've ever been done this early.  I'll probably still be getting a few things for Tucker here and there until Christmas Day, but that's ok.

Hope all is going great for your Monday!  Praying that the rest of your work week is blessed!

Just a bunch of nothin...

We had a wonderful holiday break full of family time, shopping, good food and fellowship.  Here is a recap of what went on in our house starting with November 19.

On Friday night we put up our Christmas Tree.  Tucker was so excited.  He would look up at the tree and then at me and he'd come give me a big hug.  This went on for a good five minutes or so.  It was too precious.

On Saturday my mom, sister-in-law Bonnie and I went to the Helen Brett Show.  If you have never been, I highly recommend you try and find a way to get in.  The Helen Brett show has everything from food to fine jewelry.  They come to the Cook Convention Center in Memphis, TN every three months.  The November show is the best because of all the Christmas gifting... unfortunately it's also the busiest!  We had to wait in line just to get down the first isle.. yikes!  We had a great time though.  After the show we went and had a little lunch and more shopping at Sam's Club.

Monday Tucker and I had a little Mommy and Me time.  I just love that little bugger!

On Tuesday night we had mid-week Church service instead of on Wednesday because so many either travel or are cooking in preparation of family entertaining.  For church that night we had a night of singing and had several visitors from the Ashland Church of Christ.  Much fun was had.

On Wednesday Mom Tucker and I went to Tupelo to do a little shopping and then to Wal Mart to buy a few last minute things for the holiday.

On Thursday Justin, Tucker and I traveled with his family to Clarksville,TN to have Thanksgiving Lunch with Justin's Uncle Verlon, Aunt Jean and their daughters families.  It was a rather long ride (5 1/2 hours there... we forgot to make a turn and 4 1/2 back in a down pour of rain) but we made it back just in time to spend a little time with my parents and my brothers and their families.  We don't get to get together much but I LOVE it when we do.

Friday AND Saturday Mom and I were able to do a little shopping.  On Friday we traded Mary Beth Tucker for Emma.  What a day we had.  On Saturday poor Tucker had to go with us.  I just know he's going to hate shopping when he's big enough to know that's what we are doing.

Sunday was spent going to Church and trying to relax before we had to head back to work.

I am so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life.  I absolutely LOVE my family and don't know what I'd do without them.

I'll leave you with a picture of Tucker and his Daddy watching "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" that was on TV last night.  I think Tucker really liked it!

Happy Thanksgiving Break ;)

What's the best thing about working for the school district?  The time off, of course ;) (Jerry I know you thought I was going to say working for you)  I know we don't get all summer off like the teachers do, but what other job besides being a teacher do you get a whole week off at Thanksgiving and two whole weeks off at Christmas? Hmmm.... let me think.... Nope can't think of any ;)!! I do love my job!!

Anyway, I am looking forward to my time off... as you can tell.  Tucker and I have a lot of cuddle time to catch up on!  I'm also going to attempt getting Tucker to sleep in his own bed all night again instead of half in his half in ours.  Justin, Tucker and I are planning on visiting family up in Tennessee on Thanksgiving day and then traveling back to Mississippi for Thanksgiving with my family.  I can't wait to get the rest of my Christmas decorations out and of course all the shopping!  I'm sure I won't have one free minute to blog while I'm out soooo...

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Hope yours is blessed!

Christmas Card Time

Can you believe it is that time of year again?  Where has the year gone?!?!  I am so looking forward to creating our Christmas cards.  I have been looking at different designs for a month now and have found some really cute designs from shutterfly.com.  We did Tucker's birthday party announcements with a picture card I created using Shutterfly, and oh my how cute they were.  It was so easy and fast!

How excited was I, when I saw on another blog that Shutterfly is having a promotion to give 50 FREE holiday cards to bloggers?!?!  I instantly went to shutterfly (via this link http://blog.shutterfly.com/5358/holiday2010-blog-submission-form/) and filled out the appropriate form to enter to receive the 50 FREE holiday cards.  They sent me an email and all I had to do was post a blog about the products that are my favorite.  That easy!!  So, without further adieu here are my favorites...

Birthday Party Weekend

We had a wonderful first birthday party for Tucker Friday night.  Many friends and family were able to come and make his first birthday special.

Our precious birthday boy!

The adorable birthday cake that Jennifer Thompson from Ashland made for us.  It was just as delicious as it was cute.

Tucker really loved the cake... as you can tell :)

His idea of opening gifts? Climbing on top of it, of course.

We pray that we will have many many more birthdays to celebrate with this sweet boy!

Happy First Birthday Tucker!

One year ago today at 7:57 pm I became the Mommy to a beautiful 7 lb 3 oz 20 in. long baby boy.  I had no idea how much my life would change nor did I know that I could love something so unconditionally.  Justin and I have been so blessed.  We love you Tucker!

What is a One-Year Old?

A one-year-old son
is so many things,
a tiny discoverer of butterfly wings,
a hugger of teddies,
a sweet sleepyhead,
and someone to dream for
in bright years ahead…

A special new person
who, right from the start,
has a place in the family
and, of course, in your heart.

And, just when you think
that you’ve learned all the things
that your dear son is
and the joy that he brings,
a hug or a grin
comes with such sweet surprise
that love finds you smiling
with tears in your eyes!

TOMS

I finally broke down and bought some TOMS.  I have always thought they were just adorable, but wasn't sure if they were really "me".  I tried them on and they felt like walking on air so I just had to buy them.  I'm sure all of you know that when you buy a pair of TOMS shoes Tom donates a pair of shoes to a child in need.  What's not to love, right?!?!

Here is a pic of my adorable TOMS

I am so glad that it's finally Friday and Payday ;)!  I am so looking forward to this weekend.  Saturday night we are having Trunk or Treat at Church with a hayride and good food.  Sunday night we are going to attend evening church services with my Sister-in-law and Trunk or Treat with them too.  I can't wait to see Tucker in his cute costume.  Be looking for pictures, because you know I'm going to take a ton.  Just for fun I thought I'd post a pic of me from last Halloween (with my mom).  I'm huge, I know.  I'll have to post a pic from this year too because not only do I look different, but my mom does too.  She has been on Weight Watchers and looks fabulous.  Until next time, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Aunt Again!!!!

I am so excited that I am going to be an Aunt again!  My brother Chad and his wife Mary Beth are going to be adding to our ever growing family around June 16.  Chad and Mary Beth already have two little ones; Jackson, 7 and Emma Beth, 4.  I can't believe that between us Justin and I will have 9 nieces and nephews!

Potts Camp Football

I am so proud of our Potts Camp Cardinal Football Team for ending the season 6-2!  For us to be so new we really did do a great job.  Love me some PC Football!  Hopefully next year we'll have our very own field to play on.  They are working on the new sports complex, but it sure seems to be taking forever.  Below is a picture of our favorite guy on the team... and our future favorite guy!

Fun at the Pumpkin Patch

We had lots of fun at Pumpkin Patch Farms in Blue Mountain, MS.  We enjoyed riding the wagons to the petting farm and then to pick out our pumpkins.  Tucker was so well behaved! It was a little on the warm side but much fun was had.

 Lol!  Love this face!

I really think Tucker needs one of these...

Finally...

Finally!  The weekend is here!  Justin and I are taking Tucker to the Pumpkin Patch tomorrow and I can hardly wait!!  I hope that Tucker has a great time and hopefully I'll figure out how to post pics to my blog and show you what a great time we had.

Monday and Tuesday are fall break for me and I couldn't be happier.  I plan on cleaning and doing a little shopping for Tucker's birthday.  I have the cake picked out, now I just need to find the plates and napkins to match and not to mention gifts... what in this world are we going to get him that he doesn't already have?!?!  Oh well, we'll figure it out.

Be looking for pics soon.  Have a blessed weekend!

Hello!

I have very much enjoyed viewing people's blogs, so I thought what a great way to keep up with friends and family!

Justin and I have been married for 2 1/2 years and what a great and wonderful 2 1/2 years it has been.  We have a beautiful son named Tucker that will be turning 1 on November 10.  Wow, can't believe it has been a year already, but we have enjoyed the journey.  We currently live in Potts Camp, but are looking for something else.  Our "little" house will be too little in a few years when we decide to have more children.  Justin and I are blessed beyond measure and we hope that you all enjoy our journey as much as we have!
